Car is Octavia VRS mk2 facelift 59 plate, so is the 2lt Tsi engine (not Tfsi) I have issues with the cooling fan not working at all (just a slight groaning noise) and intermittent air con issues. I know the fans work fine as both run when the air con is on.
#1 The old Octavia's radiator fans refuse to stop. Even with the car is stone cold about 20 seconds after switching it off they come on at full blast - so loud you can hear them inside the house and it sounds like a plane is trying to take off. I've got a set of replacement fans from a Golf and fitted them today. At first all was grand, no fans on.
